The South Beach Regional Fire Authority completed an independent accountability audit of South Beach for the period from January 1, 2022 through December 31, 2024 with adequate controls found. The audit was conducted by the Office of the Washington State Auditor. The section of the results in brief are included in this article and the complete document is linked. We appreciate the work of our audit team. The report published on July 2nd, 2026 was completed and reviewed with our Board of Commissioners and management staff.

Results in brief
This report describes the overall results and conclusions for the areas we examined. In those
selected areas, Authority operations complied, in all material respects, with applicable state laws,
regulations, and its own policies, and provided adequate controls over the safeguarding of public
resources.
In keeping with general auditing practices, we do not examine every transaction, activity, policy,
internal control, or area. As a result, no information is provided on the areas that were not
examined.
